As part of a two-day Back Together Again event, Ricky Duran will perform an intimate, exclusive solo concert for DetecTogether guests at The Haven Country Club on October 16, 2021.

Ricky Duran has been drawing notice all over the world with his fiery guitar playing, soulful vocals, and powerful songwriting. He was runner up on NBC’s hit television show “The Voice” in Season 17. His single, “She Closed Her Eyes,” a moving ballad he wrote in memory of his mother Odette, who died of breast cancer in 2018, has charted #1 on the Singer/Songwriter iTunes Charts.

“My mother was one of my greatest supporters and having lost her to cancer, I am especially inspired by the incredibly important work of DetecTogether,” said Duran. “I am honored to be a part of this special evening.”

Ricky writes from his personal life experiences, which he believes many people can relate to. Some songs are about challenges he has faced, others are about the power of love. Through his songs, Ricky wants to send a message of hope and strength to his listeners.

Self-taught and mentored by his late father, Ricky has been playing guitar since the age of six and writing songs since he was 11. He graduated from Berklee College of Music and worked as a full-time musician in his hometown of Worcester, Mass., before moving to Austin, Texas, to follow his dreams.
